Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and performer most well-known for her role as host of The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas, was raised among Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by an extremely difficult household. She spent the majority of her childhood looking after Frankie. Frankie suffered from an illness called polio. As a teenager, she was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl claims that in one instance her mother stabbed her father for getting too close to her. Sheryl was a soldier right after her graduation from the college. Her passion for the military was comedy. In 1989, she became the first woman to reach the finals in the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. In 1992 she made her TV debut as a regular performer in the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she hosted The show Oh Drama! In 2011, she began appearing in The Talk as co-host. She's also appeared in fictional shows such as Bulworth Niki as well as Beauty Shop.
